Short biography (
resume
is here)
I obtained a diploma in Engineering in Civil Engineering in 2003 from the
Université catholique de Louvain (
UCL). I then started a PhD at the
Université catholique de Louvain with focus on finite element
modeling of unsteady multiphase flows under the supervision of Professor
Jean-François Remacle.
I obtained my PhD in December 2006 and then went to Paris as a research follow of
FNRS (post-doc in Paris VII at the
Institute MSC
(Matière et Systèmes Complexes)).
Now, I am associate Professor at the UCL in the institute of Mechanics,
Materials and Civil Engineering
iMMC (pole
MEMA).
Research
My principal focus of research is the modelling and the development of numerical methods
for the study of complex tridimensionnal flows. The applications I'm interested in are
essentially multi-physics (multiphase flows) and more specifically biomedical applications
(cardiovascular simulations, fluid-structure interaction in blood vessels).
