Access to my office

Warning: near Louvain-la-Neuve, there is another town called Leuven (in Flemish) or Louvain (in French). This is not the same town as Louvain-la-Neuve, and access between both town is not easy. If you come from Brussels or any other place in Belgium, be sure to ask for Louvain-la-Neuve!

Access by plane
 

  • fly to Brussels National Airport (Zaventem) :
  • Brussels National Airport (Zaventem) is linked to Brussels (Central Station) by a train service : departures every 30 minutes. Once in Brussels, see "Access by train" below.
  • A taxi from the airport to Louvain-la-Neuve costs a minimum of 75 €.
Access by train
 

from one of Belgian the railway stations :

  • Ask for a ticket to 'Louvain-la-Neuve-University'; some trains go directly from Brussels, for some others you have to change in Ottignies and take a five-minutes shuttle between Ottignies and Louvain-la-Neuve. In day hours, there are approximately three trains per hour between Brussels and Louvain-la-Neuve. Cost ia approximately 4 € for a one-way ticket between Brussels and Louvain-la-Neuve.
Access by car
  from Brussels:
  • take the E411 motorway towards Namur, Luxembourg
  • take exit 8a marked "Louvain-la-Neuve"
  • at the roundabout on the National 4 (N4), turn left
  • follow the N4 until the next roundabout (Q8 station)
  • turn right at the roundabout
  • after approximately 100m turn right again
  • the building in front of you in the Maxwell building
  • Parking (P13) is on your left, after the building


from Namur:

  • take the E411 motorway towards Brussels
  • take exit 9 marked 'Corroy-le-Grand/Louvain-la-Neuve'
  • turn left towards the N4
  • when you reach the N4 (large trunaround) turn right on to it
  • turn left at the second turnaround (Q8 station)
  • after approximately 100m turn right
  • the building in front of you in the Maxwell building
  • Parking (P13) is on your left, after the building
