1. Introduction to knot homologies (Emmanuel Wagner - Univ. Bourgogne, France)

We give an introduction to the categorification process in knot theory.
We will focus mainly on two examples: the original Khovanov's categorification of the Jones polynomial
and the categorification of the HOMFLYPT polynomial by Khovanov and Rozansky.

2. Homotopy theory in Khovanov homology
(Paul Turner  - Univ. Geneva, Switzerland)

I will discuss two approaches to importing homotopy theory into Khovanov homology.
The first will be a homotopy theoretic interpretation of Khovanov homology using homotopy limits
(following the work of Everitt and Turner) and the second will be a discussion of Khovanov
homotopy type (following the work of Lipshitz and Sarkar).
