There will be a FNRS Contact Group in Numerical Analysis on Friday 5 December
1997, in Faculte Polytechnique de Mons, Salle Academique, boulevard Dolez 31,
B-7000 Mons.

The theme is: 'Numerical methods in ordinary and partial differential
               equations'.

The two main invited speakers are:

W. Schiesser (Lehigh University, Bethlehem, USA: 'Space and time adaptivity
  in the numerical integration of partial differential equations' , 

P. Zegeling (Utrecht University, The Netherlands): 'An adaptive grid method
  based on smoothed equidistribution and its application to PDEs with
  higher-order derivatives'.

People interested to give a 20 minutes talk are invited to send title and
abstract before 15 November by mail or e-mail to my address below. There is
space only for a limited number of speeches. People interested to attend are
invited to send me a word of subscription too, before 15 November. I hope to
have a complete programme a little before 30 November.  Hope to see you all!
