Post-doctoral position in learning for IoT
A Post-doctoral position is open in learning for Internet of Things (IoT) solutions at the Institute of information and communication technologies, electronics and applied mathematics (ICTEAM) at UCLouvain (Belgium). This 2-year position is offered in the context of a project with an industrial partner.
This position is fully funded and is to be filled ideally from September 1, 2017.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will be in charge of developing learning algorithms to generate real-time smart
alerts in industrial facilities, detecting long term trends, and providing an analysis of the main dynamics taking place.
The algorithms will be developed and tested using real datasets obtained from industrial partners.
Successful algorithms will be re-implemented by industrial partners and deployed on real facilities.
We are seeking candidates with a PhD degree* with experience in machine learning, system identification and/or big data analysis.
Good programming skills, experience in modelling and/or experience with dynamical systems are a plus.
Good communication skills are further required in this project, due to its collaborative nature.
Scientific leadership and initiative are expected.
*(Other profiles may be considered if the candidate’s experience is deemed sufficient).
