We benchmark network packet processing on GPU, DPU, and CPU and a combination of them, hence the name, xPU (Bench).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also take a novel angle on energy efficiency, with techniques to use less power for GPU (reducing uncore frequency), and show that DPU are highly efficient&#8230; but limited in term of processing power. When they match, they&#8217;re best.
