Description: The goal of GPR is to integrate and improve in situ and proximal measurement technologies for the assessment of soil properties and soil degradation indicators, going from the sensing technologies to their integration and their application in (digital) soil mapping (DSM).
Design of wideband antenna array of Taper Slot Antennas.
My contribution to GPR:I proposed a thick Vivaldi antenna made of Aluminium and covering the frequency band from 1 to 4 GHz. Thus antenna is directly fed without the need for complex transition feeding techniques. The measurement of the manufactured elements of this antenna types showed very good agreement with the numerical results obtained from simulations using CST and MoM code.
