We presented our paper xPUBench at PAM’26, which compares the energy consumption of CPU, DPU and GPUs for network functions.
Among many findings in the paper, we show the importance of the uncore, the high potential for GPU only systems and ARM complete systems like standalong DPUs that are nearly on par with x86 counter-part.
